Yes, I'm Hooked

It's been a while since my last post, but I can assure you (yes, all two or three of you) that I do have a valid reason for slacking on my updates.

I got hooked on scrapbooking.

Bear in mind that I'm not a creative person when it comes to designing, so for practice I tried to do simple stuff first. Turns out it's not that hard after all, provided you have at least minimal knowledge of enche' potosop (even if minimal pun susah nak cecah, there are several tutorials online to help you get started)

This is what I started with:

And I ended up with this:

Seronot siot hahahaha!

I'm having a wonderful time with this .. my next project will be for the kids. Maybe I can get a whole book done by Muadz's 1st birthday.. nyeh :P

Yes, It's Another Year

Hope it's not too late to wish everybody a happy 2010!

One more year to renew a lot of stuff; both material and immaterial. As for me, this year holds a promise. It's still unclear whether IT will make ITself available this year, so I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime, it's business as usual.

So in the spirit of business, let me share a tip. This is for those who consistently have their work documents in a flash drive or an external drive, continue work when they're home, transfer updated files to the drive, bring it back to the office.. the cycle continues (yours truly one of them). Sometimes when there are too many files to work with, I tend to misplace, forgot which file is the updated one, or even worse - deleted the wrong version!

A search on enche' gugel brought me to SyncToy, proudly developed by the giants of computer operating software, enche' mikrosof. All I need to do now is to mark on SyncToy which folder or file to be synchronized, set the action (sync, echo, or contribute) and just click Run. Now I can just go home, work on the files, go to work the next day, just plug in my disk and run SyncToy once again. It will check for any updated versions on my disk and sync it with the one I have on the PC. No more copy-pasting!

No, I'm not paid by enche' mikrosof to promote this.

You can download SyncToy (it's free!) at enche' mikrosof's website here.
